The Women in Film Club at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) is dedicated to building an inclusive and supportive community for women filmmakers and minorities within the university. The club aims to create a welcoming space that inspires and celebrates the work of underrepresented groups in the film industry. By striving to break down gender-related barriers, promoting equality, and challenging traditional norms, the club fosters an environment of open communication and mutual respect. Individuals of all genders are provided with equal opportunities to contribute their talents and stories. With a focus on hands-on experience in various roles within the film production process, members can grow and learn together. The club boasts a leadership team of 30 students distributed across seven committees: Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity, Guest Speaker, Marketing, Networking, Resource Management, Screenings, and Workshops. Committed to fostering a sense of community among women, the club ensures that every member feels valued and empowered.
